Shaar Hagai

Sha’ar Hagai is a national memorial site and a heritage center in memory of heroic stories of the small group of fighters who sacrificed their lives to lead supply convoys to Jerusalem. We were to make a film that would tell the story.

Our challenge was to create a visual language that would stand the test of time in the museum.

The idea was to meet the fighters and record their memories in their own voices. On these living testimonials, we created illustrations of key moments from those days as preserved in the archives.
The result was an even more moving and emotional connection between the live scenes and animated reconstructions.
